A new chapter has begun for the European Reference Networks (ERNs) with the public launch of the CPMS 2.0 Mobile Apps, now available in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. These apps bring the Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS) directly to your fingertips, enhancing flexibility and enabling secure, on-the-go collaboration for ERN members.

This launch is complemented by the release of CPMS 2.0 desktop version 4.2, which remains the cornerstone platform for remote multidisciplinary discussions. The latest desktop updates introduce key improvements:

  • Advanced search functionality

  • Audit logs for greater traceability

  • Streamlined meeting agenda features

  • Enhanced tools for assistants and administrators

Together, these mobile and desktop upgrades mark a major leap forward in creating a more efficient, user-friendly, and secure environment for cross-border case discussions within the ERNs.

Looking ahead, the journey of CPMS 2.0 is far from over. Plans are underway to launch an open-source repository and community, expanding the platform’s reach beyond rare diseases and offering new opportunities for innovation and collaboration in healthcare.

This progress reflects the dedicated efforts of DG SANTE, ERNs, and development teams across Europe. Their work continues to shape the future of digital collaboration in the care of patients with rare and complex conditions.

At the heart of CPMS 2.0’s evolution are the values of user feedback, security, and innovation, ensuring the platform continues to grow in step with the needs of the healthcare community.
