The training is intended for:
• Healthcare professionals in any discipline who provide treatment for those with a visible difference
• Community/social workers who support those living with a visible difference
• NGOs staff within this community
• Medical students and students in vocational training
• Individuals with a visible difference and family members
Facilitated by: Professor Nichola Rumsey (psychologist) & Gareth Davies (ECO - parent support) This training is part of the Face Equality Training project developed by expert partners in 8 European countries & funded by EU Erasmus+ It highlights the challenges faced by those living with a visible difference and looks at ways these issues can be addressed. The project includes a social activism element which will aim to change negative societal attitudes and reduce stigma.
