Clinical Patient Mangement System (CPMS 2.0)

The Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS) is a web-based clinical software application allowing healthcare providers from all over the EU to work together virtually to diagnose and treat patients with rare, low prevalence and complex diseases.

Do you have a patient case involving a rare craniofacial disease and/or Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) disorder and want further advice? If you are a clinician based within the EU/EEA and have obtained consent* from your patient, you can submit your case to ERN CRANIO.

By submitting your case via the Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS), a European-wide multidisciplinary team (MDT) of clinicians from our network of expert centres will review the case and offer recommendations. The decision to follow this advice remains entirely yours. The system is secure, and the identifying patient details will not be seen by anyone outside your centre.

To learn more about CPMS 2.0 you can watch the below videos:

If you are having problems with either accessing or using CPMS, please refer to the FAQ provided by the Commission. You can also contact the ERN CRANIO helpdesk if you have any questions regarding how to use the application.

Gaining access to CPMS 2.0

Registered users can log into CPMS here to view current cases and provide advice.

Access to CPMS is strictly regulated to protect patients’ data privacy rights. Only authenticated users (EU Login) can request authorisation from the ERN to use the CPMS. Each ERN has member Healthcare Providers (HCPs), and it is envisaged that the users of CPMS are either Healthcare Professionals (HPs) within these HCPs, or HPs authorised as guest users by the relevant ERN.

f you are not a registered user, but work in an ERN CRANI0 member centre, you can click this link to apply for access. If you use your hospital email address to register, this can be authorised immediately, presuming everything else is in order. Otherwise, the Helpdesk will ask for proof from the HCP representatives in your centre that you are authorised to apply for access.

Here is a guide to creating your EU Login and applying for access to CPMS 2.0.

Note: All users are required to have two-factor authentication set up for their EU Login. Furthermore, the current SMS authentication method will be removed by the end of February 2025. All applicants should select the option to use the EU Login app instead.

*Prior to case upload, a CPMS patient consent form must be completed and stored locally. These consent forms are available in every European language and are downloadable below.
